Hey everyone —
I’m Drew Hunter—a professional runner, coach, and lifelong student of the sport. Running has been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember, from breaking national records in high school to competing at the highest levels of the sport. Along the way, I’ve learned that success isn’t just about talent—it’s about consistency, mindset, and a love for the process.
Beyond competing, I’m passionate about coaching, storytelling, and growing the sport in meaningful ways. I co-founded Tinman Elite, an elite distance running team that captivated the hearts of runners all over the US. Tinman Elite’s rise wasn’t just about fast times—it was about authenticity, storytelling, and a new approach to professional running. What started as a group of underdog athletes with a shared vision quickly became a movement, resonating with runners worldwide. I co-founded Hammer and Axe, a coaching platform designed to help runners train smarter, and I write The Hunter, a newsletter diving into the training, racing, and culture of distance running. My goal is to share insights, connect with the running community, and continue pushing the limits of what’s possible.
When I’m not training or coaching, I’m a husband, dad, and always looking for new ways to bring creativity into the sport I love. Whether you’re here to follow my racing journey, learn more about training, or just talk running—I’m glad you’re here.
